Boxing Day in Great Britain and some Commonwealth countries is celebrated on holiday December 26 on which the household staff, servants, tradespeople, and the poor traditionally were presented with gifts. It has morphed into a sort of shopping holiday of its own and it is one of the most popular days to return Christmas gifts to the stores.
